St. Colman’s College is a Catholic voluntary grammar school for boys

immersed in over 200 years of tradition and educational excellence. We are proud to support and nurture our pupils to reach their academic and extra-curricular potential, and to build an effective partnership between parents, pupils, staff and the wider College community.

Violet Hill

Also known throughout Ireland as Violet Hill College (or VHC), St. Colman’s College has occupied its magnificent rural setting since 1829, with parts of the present school building dating back as far as 1879.
